Daily Deal: TRENDnet 300Mbps Wireless Bridge for $38.77

A wireless network at home is great and all, but what if you need to connect something that only offers a wired connection to that network? For that, you’ll want to invest in a wireless media bridge like the TRENDnet TEW-640MB. This is a pretty great device and it happens to be on sale for 57% off.

The TRENDnet TEW-640MB is a 300Mbps wireless-N 4-port media bridge. What this means is that it connects to your existing wireless network, using one-touch Wi-Fi protected setup (WPS), and then it provides four Ethernet ports so that you can link up wired devices like your network-enabled TV, game console, or Blu-ray player. Even though several “smart” TVs have Wi-Fi now, many don’t.

I imagine that the most common use for the media bridge is for exactly that: media. And that’s why TRENDnet has also included WMM Quality of Service (QoS) technology that prioritizes video and audio content. If you want to stream those videos from Netflix or YouTube, you should be able to keep up without buffering or lag, assuming your Internet connection holds up. You can even stream from your own computer at the other end of the house, thanks to the 300Mbps wireless-N connection. That should definitely be fast enough.

It helps that this is pretty attractive too with its glossy black finish and vertical design. Slip it next to your home theater setup and it’ll fit right in. The TRENDnet TEW-640MB wireless 4-port media bridge is on sale for $38.77, down from the list price of $89.99. That’s $51.22 in savings and includes free shipping too.
