Pebble does not have a touch screen. It is an "e-paper" sony lcd screen with no touch capacitive sensors. It works off the 4 buttons around the edges. I am a backer of Pebble, but this idea is becoming more useful in terms of the older generation who still has a smartphone. Or even the "professionals" who would like similar experience to the pebble while still keeping an appearance. To compare this to pebble would be like comparing the iPod touch to the regular iPods. One is the basic functions and is simple, but gives you what you need. The other one has much more with the basics still intact. Both are similar, but generally used in different capacities.
