The iPhone has seen quite a few interesting camera lens adapters over the years, the newest of which is unique in its ability to even allow you to use an SLR lens on the front. The new camera attachment is called the Phocus and features large case that transforms the iPhone into a true camera experience. The Phocus also includes an accessory with wide-angle, macro and telephoto lenses and also has a brass tripod mount and an accessory shoe.
The new kit has a two different types, one for $100 which comes with two lenses and another for $135 with three lenses. The SLR adapters allow you to step up your photo experience even further, but unfortunately aren’t exactly cheap at $220 for Canon lenses or $245 to add support for Nikon. The Phocus has a lot of potential for hardcore photo buffs that have an iPhone 4 or 4S, but you have to wonder about how future proof this device is, considering iPhone 5 is likely just around the corner. Still, for those photography buffs who don’t plan on immediate upgrades to the next-gen iPhone, this might be worth the investment.
