In order to better help organize the layout of apps in the App Store, a new “Food & Drink” Category has made its way over to iOS. When users open this tab they will be greeted by recipe books, restaurant locators, cocktail guides and other food related programs including online ordering systems. While this doesn’t necessarily add any new apps, it’s just a way for Apple to make it easier to find this stuff instead of having to look through the “Lifestyle” category just to find a cookbook.
According to Apple, the migration will take place over a period of a few weeks. Apps for dieting, coupons and grocery shopping will not be transitioned to this category, instead it will basically be anything that has to do with cooking and finding places to eat.
