		<description>The problem, in my opinion at least, is that the customized Android UI 
in Fire just doesn&#039;t compete with the more open &quot;real&quot; Android UI. The 
fact that the Fire doesn&#039;t have support for real Google apps, like 
Google Play, doesn&#039;t help them much either. 



Really I don&#039;t know how Amazon Kindle Fire 2nd-gen could possibly one-up
 the Nexus 7, unless by some miracle they are able to cut costs enough 
to deliver a cost point lower than $199 and/or they are able to somehow 
improve the Fire UI to make it better than last gen. Even if they do all
 of that, it still won&#039;t have official Google apps, so that&#039;s the deal 
breaker, at least in my opinion.



Could be wrong, of course, and I&#039;m at least excited/curious to see what 
Amazon has up its shelves. Like I said in the article, I&#039;m really 
excited for late-2012 and into 2013... the mobile war is heading into 
some uncharted territory and I&#039;m curious how all of it will play out.</description>
