As someone who wears glasses pretty much constantly, except when asleep, I can personally tell you that they don’t come cheap. The good news is that you only have to invest in a new pair every few years or so, depending on how badly your vision is changing. Even so, wouldn’t it be nice if you didn’t have to pay for a eye doctor visit and have new lenses made each time your vision changes? That’s exactly what the Eyejuster glasses are all about. These unique glasses may not be the sexiest looking glasses out there, but they get the job done.
How do they work? The glasses use two lenses that slide across each other and can be changed by the wearer using a simple thumb wheel. Imagine how great of an impact this pair of glasses could have on the developing world, where at just $40 they finally give an affordable solution to those in countries where they can’t afford to pay for traditional glasses and the costs associated with them. Another great benefit for those of us in the developed world, such as North America and Europe, is that these could potentially make great reading glasses. For those of us that only need glasses at home while reading something up close, this could prove a cheap and easy solution. Again, they might not be lookers, but these certainly fit the bill for those who just need something that works either because they can’t afford a traditional pair or they simply only need them on rare occasion for tasks such as reading.
