Apple Releases New iTunes U App For iPad

Apple has just announced its newest version of its iTunes U product at a press conference in New York City. The new iOS version brings users an interface that is very iBooks-esque in which they can access their iTunes U content.

iTunes U has had over 700 million downloads to date and has primarily been used for lectures, the new version gives teachers a variety of new tools to create and manage curriculum, and they can also use the app to give assignments to their class or even stream live content.

Just like in Apple’s new digital textbooks, students can also use this app to to take notes, and course from a number of universities such as Harvard are currently available.

iTnes U for iPad is available for free in the iOS app store.
