G-Form Launches iPad to Space

G-Form is set to make an impression at CES and have launched an iPad wrapped in one of their cases over 100,000 feet in the air. That’s high enough where if you or I were up there we would suffer from hypoxia and most likely explode like that guy in Total Recall when he was deprived of oxygen on the surface of Mars. Luckily Arnie made it though. Check out the video showing the iPad as it reaches the outer most edges of our atmosphere only to have the weather balloon explode sending the iPad back to Earth in the desert of Nevada.

    Amazing, they cut the video before we see it on the ground and so we don’t see them opening it!

    BTW, as any reasonable educated person will know. A flat rectangular object will simply drop at speed then slow down as the atmosphere thicken and then is further slowed as it flys like a glider.

    So not very impressive actually. :)
