Yes, journalism is dead. Instead of giving facts, it repeats rumors, then discredits those rumors as "unreliable". If they are not reliable, why are you using them?

Finally, the word you want in the last paragraph is "sheer", not "shear", which means "to cut" as in, "to shear a sheep". Although that seems to be what you're doing with your readers.

iWorld is the renamed MacWorld Expo, and is run by IDG. Apple used to use it for product announcements, but the last was in 2008. Apple doesn't run MacWorld, and never has.

iworld is an Apple event to completely contridict what you have just said. Also the whole thing about the screen size is there will be 2 types of ipads being unveiled, one being the ordinary ipad 3 the other being, what is called, the ipad mini. Other rumors state that the ipad mini may not come till the end of 2012 or the beginning of 2013. We will all just have to wait and see what happens.

Um, Apple hasn't unveiled new product at a non-Apple-run conference in 3 years now. It is unlikely they are going to change that just yet. I suspect that Steve's influence on screen size will continue for one more generation, so the smaller screen size doesn't fit the bill. About the only things that this "leak" might have right are the use of a retina display and the potential for a price-reduced iPad 2 to stick around.
