Found a solution to the resolution problem for Mac OS X. Using switchResX, you need to create a custom display with the following settings: 1056x600, 60.000 Hz. (Note the 60.000 Hz, if you use 60.3Hz you'll get a vertical band on the screen where the color is off, causing glowing pink faces)

It's pretty noisy. The sound is barely louder than the fan. For me, the big problem is that the pass through for VGA no longer supports 16x9 (for either windows or mac) due to a firmware update. Instead, it double shrinks it (16x9 to 4x3 to 16x9), cutting the resolution down to 640x360 and the lumens down to about 50.

So - just how noisy is this unit? I have an M2 and find the fan noise to be very distracting...

I've had mine for a good 3 weeks now with no issues. I haven't had time to use it for more than an hour and a half at a time but the unit stays pretty cool so I wouldn't imagine any problems. Watched some TV shows right off the USB drive with no issues thus far.

LED projectors are supposed to last 15,000-20,000 hours and it comes with a 1 year warranty so you'll be good for at least that 1 year.
