More appealing to parents than to their kids, Barnes&Noble’s Nook e-Book back-to-school promotion is hard to resist; if you purchase the new Nook e-reader you’ll have access to $100 worth books and various study tools for free, ideal for starting the new school year in great shape.
The $100 educational content includes the company’s Classic books as well as 12 SparkNotes study guides, some Nook Study guides and four Nook apps, all available for free.
Among the company’s Classic books you could find A Tale of Two Cities, Beowulf, Ivanhoe, Crime and Punishment or The Portrait of the Artist as a Young Woman. The Spark Notes comprise some of the most popular required material for students, such as To Kill a Mockingbird, The Great Gatsby or The Catcher in the Rye.
The promotion is planned to run through September 11 and the devices need to be registered before October 31st. In case you spent your vacation lying lazy in the sun waves, this is a good chance to pick up your reading habit before school starts or, for some of you, to start developing a reading habit. I wonder if Twilight or Harry Potter series are included…
