If you’re going camping or just want to spend a hot summer day in the middle of nowhere surrounded by nothing else than pure nature, you would probably need a cooler to keep your food and drinks fresh. Nothing out of the ordinary so far.
But since you want to be one with the nature, you should go all the way and choose the eco- friendly alternative of a cooler: a 70% recycled cardboard, covered with a ‘NorSheild’ waterproof coating, both on the inside and on the outside. Two bags of ice would be enough to keep food and beverages at around 41°F degrees for 36 hours. However, the 36 hour period could get shorter if the outside temperature exceeds 77°F.
The recyclable cooler is produced by Cascades, it is reusable and somewhat nicely designed. The cool thing about recyclable products is that when they reach the end of their lifespan, or after the NorSheild coating wears off and destroys the cardboard you can simply just recycle it. Costing $14.99 plus an extra $8 for them to ship it to you via some gas guzzling truck doesn’t sound so eco after all.
