I think it's way to early to judge the success or failure of Android tablets. The Honeycomb tablets have only been on the market for 2 or 3 months. Once some of the reasonably priced tablets like the MSI tablet hits the market. Then things will change. The MSI tablet will retail for $299 for the 10" and $199 for the 7" model.

As other people have mentioned before, history repeats itself. But it's the iPod's war history thas's repeating this time. As you know most people were comparing tablets to the history of iPhones but failed to realize that iPads are not restricted to a specific carrier like iPhones are, instead like iPods, iPads can be used without having to use a specific carrier. i.e (having to switch to at&t or being in the middle of a contract with another company) which played a huge role why most people chose android phones over iPhones.
