Despite the additions to iOS over the past few years, quality apps like LockInfo, QuickReply SMS, Backgrounder and even SBSettings (to name a few), are all solid reasons to jailbreak. Sure, the theming stuff and some of the jailbreak apps are lame or of poor quality, but there's still enough reason to jailbreak until Apple decides to let us out of their walled garden (which will be never).

Jailbreaking does cause instability if you install some daemons that don't play well together, or pirate your daemons (ie cracked folderenhancer). But if you jailbreak and just install non-system related apps, it should be as stable as normal.

This is a really stupid article. Jail-breaking does not decrease "Stability" Some apps that you can get from jail-breaking can be unstable, but that doesn't mean your phone is unstable. Also, you don't have to wait until the next jailbreak to update. That's entirely your choice.

While there are obvious benefits to jail-breaking an iPhone, the cons associated with it out-weigh the benefits. In 2007 when the first iPhone came out, it was an equal trade-off, but not now.
