I too remember the old wooden blocks with the letters on them, or lincoln logs or even the long sticks with the round wheel like blocks with holes in them to make stuff (can't remember their name off hand.) NONE of it ever ran on its own!!! It just goes to show you what technology has done AND where it could be headed! Wow, these things are really cool.
