Cherrypal did not stick to their specs with the old Cherrypad, so if I were you, I'd wait for someone to approve the specs. Someone that is not affiliated with Cherrypal. Let's start with a comparison between the specs from Cherrypal for the current Cherrypad and what dmesg shows: 800 MHz CPU vs. 500 MHz CPU 256 MB RAM vs. 156 MB RAM (possibly 100 MB are reserved for DSP ???) 2GB of Flash vs. 512 MB of Flash Upgrade to 2.2 by November (2010) vs. "We dropped the update and are heading for 2.3 once available" Upgrade to 2.3 "once available" vs. it is over one month now and they did not even said a word since then...
