I work for Telecom Fiji and appreciate the effort put in by Verizon to come up with the CDMA version of i Phone. Currently Telecom is competing neck to neck with 2 major Mobile provider in Fiji. This type of innovation would augur well for us in terms of providing an alternative product on the market in Fiji. Thanks Mobile Magazine for updating us on this developments.

someone please tell me when verizon will start selling the 4G iphone this year…my friend works for verizon and he says that they will be out in Feb….is that true because i am ancious to buy it!!

heres what i think vzw and apple finally came to an agreement Steve is going to let VZw CEO announce the new 4g iphone… why would verizon or apple waste their time and money to make a CDMA iphone i think its gonna be LTE..especially cause they didnt announce it at CES.. also VZW has been adverstising LTE for a while now again i dont think they will waste their money making 3g CDMA iphone when they have a brand new LTE network think about it ..its gonna be 4g Well i think so.. were just gonna find out tomorrow at that event

What the heck? How in the world can T-Mobile USA offer the CDMA iPhone when they don’t even use a CDMA network? T-Mobile USA uses GSM with UMTS enhanced by HSPA+ at 21Mbps, being doubled to 42Mbps by the end of the year. In this case, the only thing Apple has to do is make sure that the GSM iPhone supports the UMTS band that T-Mobile uses (Band IV).
