4G booster to bring farmers up to speed

Wilson Electronics is bringing some of that innovation a little closer to home with their announcement of a new product line of 4G signal boosters. The 4G AWS is the first product up for release and it boosts signals on the Advanced Wireless Service (AWS) spectrum band. It’s intended for indoor installations, whether for home or office, and it will strengthen the connection range and also increase transfer speeds in places that are subject to a weaker signal.

It is intended to support devices on T-Mobiles HSPA+ network, giving a much appreciated signal boost to customers in various “rural areas” that use the AWS band for fixed broadband service.

You can expect the Wilson 4G AWS to be available mid-Q1 2011; Wilson also plans to release a mobile signal booster that amplifies the signal for current cellular brands, later this year.

Wilson Electronics Announces New Product Line of 4G Signal Boosters

New group to include LTE, WiMAX and AWS signal boosters that will support the growing 4G networks across North America

ST. GEORGE, Utah–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Wilson Electronics (www.WilsonElectronics.com), manufacturer of North America’s top-selling line of cell phone signal boosters, has announced a new product group of 4G signal boosters scheduled for release in early 2011.

The new line will include models based on 700 MHz LTE, WiMAX and AWS 4G frequencies. The first product release, expected to ship by mid-Q1 2011, is the Wilson 4G AWS, which boosts signals on the Advanced Wireless Services (AWS) spectrum band.

The 4G AWS is designed for indoor installation and is expected to have a suggested retail price of $399.00. In the U.S., it will extend connection range and increase data transfer speeds in weak signal areas for devices that support T-Mobile’s HSPA+ network. The 4G AWS will also provide signal boost for customers of various other rural wireless carriers that use the AWS band for fixed broadband service.
