Better Place does have battery packs you can swap in 1 minute. Solar panels are best at your home so they are the best angle and diection to get full Sun and don't break on your vehicle since they are glas. You's also need at leasr 1,000 to 2,000 watts of panels at 10 square feet for each 1,000 watts.

More ideas and vehicles are appearing every day. Let's beat oil and pollution with products made in our home countries ,including the fuel.

Are the solar-powered charging stations for electric vehicles that Honda is making equipt with DC fast chargers? (charging a 100 mile battery in 30 minutes?)

Is the solar energy captured from the panels on the roofs stored in batteries that feed the charging station chargers?

Why not connect the stations batteries directly with the electric cars somehow? Isn't it faster to charge a battery with another battery?

Thanks. ff

Why not put the solar panels on the roof of the new Electric Fit? Doesn't Honda's Soltec group make solar panels? I realize that the initial gains might be modest but you have to start somewhere. A small compatment on the roof could hold an expandable solar collector that opens when the car is parked.
