Ronny... the reason I rooted my phone is for the performance. Before I rooted my EVO, it was a little too laggy for me. Now with the rooted EVO, this is by gar the fastest handset I have used. Removed all the bloatware, overclocked my cpu so its fast when I use it, and saves battery when I don't. BUT the main reason I rooted... was for FREE mobile hotspot using a wireless tether app.

why flash rom and root when you can wait 2 months and get the 2.3 ota update? dont be stupid people its not worth it. htc and sprint pushed out 2.2 in less than 2 months for the evo. htc has a pre released version of 2.3 that they had way before december 6th so they could work on it to be compatible with their phones and get a head start. gingerbread will be out for evo before march. probably early february
