Windows Mobile was a real mess before Windows Phone 7 came out. Please don't blame the wrong thing and try out the htc android phones, they're the best in the industry. They arrogantly refused to include the standard headphone jack and kept that slightly off-shaped USB plug to sell proprietary plugs. I put up with those, but when they "updated" the SenseUI a few months ago, it was buggy and caused my phone to need soft resets a few times per day!! They had me reinstall, hard reset, etc., and nothing helped. They won't acknowledge that there's a problem and have taken down the original ROM. What is a consumer to do???? Well, for one, when I moved on to Windows Phone 7, I chose the Samsung Focus and never even considered the HTC Surround.
