Do you want to buy a new watch but you can’t be bothered to go to a physical store to try them on? Tissot just may have the answer for you in the form of their new augmented reality app.  You can watch the video below to get a better sense of how it works, but you basically print out a paper watch that will give your webcam a point of reference.  After launching the app you can browse through the Tissot watch collection. Each time you click on one, it will magically “appear” on your wrist.

No, it’s not quite the same as seeing how the watch feels on your wrist, but it sure beats looking at hyper-stylized press photos on the Tissot website. At least those stylized press photos are now virtually sitting your wrist, or even trying on 50 watches at your local shop.  You can download the 82MB app from the Tissot website, print the wristband, and shop accordingly.  Or, you know, just put on some pants and go to the mall.
