Droid Incredible on Verizon Wireless

Google Nexus One is not coming to Verizon, but that doesn’t mean subscribers of the big red are left out of the Android party. In fact, they’re getting quite the incredible smartphone starting today.

We knew this phone was coming and now it’s finally here. The Droid Incredible by HTC has officially launched with Verizon Wireless, offering some crazy speeds and functionality. You may have once known it simply as the HTC Incredible, the Droid Incredible could actually be even better than the Google Nexus One in many ways. For instance, you get an impressive 8.0 megapixel camera compared to the 5.0 megapixel shooter on the Nexus One. Other highlights include heavy social media integration, Android Market access, and high-speed 3G connectivity.

I’m still partial to physical keyboards myself, so I might have to wait for a Droid Incredible Pro or something, but this is definitely one hot smartphone considering it features multitasking. Head on over to your favorite Verizon location and pick up the Droid Incredible for $199.99 with a two-year contract and $100 mail-in rebate.  Due to high demand, Verizon will ship this by May 5th, 2010 according to the product page.
