Samsung U820 Reality on Verizon Wireless

You’ve got to love some of the names that they come up with for these Samsung phones. From the Eternity to the Gravity, they all sound like they should be larger than life. Snapping us back down to the Earth is the aptly named Samsung Reality u820.

The Samsung u820 Reality isn’t a smartphone, but it could be called a feature phone or a quick messaging phone. Bound for the shelves of Verizon Wireless, the reality has a big three-inch display and a slide-out QWERTY keyboard.

That QWERTY keyboard will be a welcome feature for all the texters in the audience. Other specs include an HTML browser, microSD slot for up to 16GB of storage, and a 3.2 megapixel camera. Verizon is adding in quick access to social networking services, as well as the VZ Navigator for turn-by-turn directions.

Expect the Samsung u820 Reality to arrive at Verizon on April 22. They’ll want $79.99 for it, so long as you sign a new two-year contract and handle the $50 mail-in rebate.
