Bang & Olufsen BeoLink app lets you control your home like a love guru

BeoLink app on the iPhone

It’s only a matter of time before the iPad takes total control over your home.  Starting today with the Bang & Olufsen BeoLink application, access to your audio and video, even home automation, can be done over your Apple iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch.

I was slightly disappointed when the iPad specs came out showing no RF module, this would have made it a killer remote control, but using the Master Link Gateway by Bang & Olufsen over Wi-Fi, it’s no longer necessary – assuming your house is outfitted with the high-end gear.

The BeoLink application gives you total control, from changing a CD, turning up the volume, turning on a TV, stereo or even the lights near the front door while unlocking it for a guest.  Friends may perceive you to be some sort of love guru, with everything at your fingertips awaiting your next push of the button, the romantic music comes on as the window shades close, all from the palm of your hand.

“We are very happy to extend control of home automation and home entertainment via this simple application,” says Zean Nielsen, President of Bang & Olufsen America. “Giving customers greater freedom and convenience in their intelligent home fits hand-in-hand with Bang & Olufsen’s ongoing philosophy that technology should be the servant of man, not the other way around.”
