Puma is now in on the action. Their latest release is not a shoe that transmits the power of your kick to your iPod, but a mobile phone with solar cells attached to the flipside. The company is aiming to leave as little footprint as possible, and they have teamed up with Sagem to do just that. While playing footie with the boys, just leave your cell on the bench, back-side facing up, and it will collect the suns beautiful rays and give you some extra talking time.
The Puma Phone has a QVGA TFT 2.8-inch capacitive touchscreen, HSPA and W-CDMA/EDGE/GPRS/GSM connectivity; Bluetooth; USB 2, a 3.2 megapixel camera with LED flash and 6x digital zoom. Since it is a sporty smartphone, it has GPS, compass, geotagging, routing, mapping, a pedometer, GPS tracker and stopwatch. Available in Europe next month for an undetermined price.
