Do you need to renew a subscription that you have? Maybe you owe your favorite freelance writer some cash and you’re nowhere near a computer? Well, PayPal is coming to the rescue if you so happen to have a BlackBerry on your hip.

The popular online money transfer system has just announced a new application for BlackBerry smartphones. The app, as you can guess, gives you access to your PayPal account so that you can send some cash to whatever recipient that you’d like.

Where this app gets a little more interesting is that it actually integrates with the native contact list on your BlackBerry. This makes it really easy for you to choose the recipient. The app will also let you see you account balance and transaction history.

The appropriately named “Send Money” app will be found in the BlackBerry App World and it will be made available in Canada, USA, UK, France, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg, Ireland, Portugal and Australia. It’s not there for download right now, but it should show up soon. The iPhone and Android versions of the app will offer similar functionality.
