The Motorola Droid is quite the exciting phone for Verizon, Google, and Motorola. Three heads are better than two, right? Well, it seems that the Droid is heading across the pond in a slightly different form too. The Motorola MT710 is destined for the Chinese market and it sure bears a striking resemblance to the Droid that we have on this side of the Pacific.
While the Motorola MT710 looks a lot like the regular Droid, it is missing at least one very notable feature. The China version will not have a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. You’ll have to rely solely on that 3.7-inch touchscreen display for all of your calling and texting needs.
Unlike so many other smartphones in China, the MT710 will actually have Wi-Fi too. Other highlights include China-friendly TD-SCDMA 3G connectivity, a localized version of OPhone OS 1.5, and a 624MHz Marvell PXA310 processor.
There’s no specific mention of a price or release date, but you can check out the full spec sheet on the official Motodev website.
