As you may recall, the whole point of this product from Always Innovating is that it is completely modular. If all you need is a big (8.9-inch) touchscreen, you can do that. When you need a keyboard, you can slide it into place and you’ve got a netbook.
Taking a quick tour of the spec sheet, we find a TI OMAP3530 processor, 512MB of RAM, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and 8GB of on-board flash storage. Rounding it all out are seven USB ports (four internal), an accelerometer, stereo speakers, and a custom operating system.
If you already placed a pre-order, you should be receiving your new Touch Book soon. If you’re suddenly interested in buying one, you might have a shot at getting one too. The tablet-only solution is $299 and then you can add on the keyboard half for an extra $100.
