Cockpit BlackBerry Theme Puts You Behind the Wheel

We’ve seen a lot of different tghemes for a variety of smartphones, but this one has to be one of the more interesting ones to date. The latest BlackBerry theme to come down the chute is called Cockpit and it’s very much for the automotive enthusiasts of the world.

Instead of looking at some generic background image, the Cockpit theme places you in the driver’s seat of some unnamed car with an aftermarket steering wheel. You turn the steering wheel to navigate through eleven icons that would otherwise appear on the dock.

All of the indicators have been swapped out for car themed alternatives as well. I can’t really see from the provided image, but it looks like the battery and signal meters have been swapped out for a gas meter and a tachometer. Something like that.

The other cool thing is that when you turn the trackball, the steering wheel moves and the street image through the windshield will also change. That’s pretty nifty. Look for Cockpit for a variety of BlackBerry devices for $6.99.
