Whether you’re cruising around in your own town or you’re trying not to get lost in a foreign land, having a reliable GPS device in the car is quite the worthy investment. However, the pre-installed voices may not be the most interesting things in the world. Thankfully, for all the TomTom owners in the audience, everyone’s favorite nuclear plant worker is coming to the rescue.

Springfield’s own Homer Simpson is apparently lending his voice to TomTom GPS devices, providing you with all the turn-by-turn directions in his trademark voice. You’d better hope that he doesn’t get lost or confused himself; otherwise, your directions will just be filled with one d’oh after another. Woohoo? Mmmm… donuts…. drool….

The Homer Simpson voice pack for TomTom satnav devices is fully endorsed by Fox, so this could be the beginning of a beautiful assortment of fictional Fox characters invading your GPS. Do you want one with Quagmire? Giggity Giggity GOO!!!

That’s the good news. The bad news, for North Americans at least, is that the Homer pack might only be available in the UK and Ireland. Check your TomTom Home account and see if you can find the Homer Simpson option for 7.95 GBP.
