I’m all for convergence devices, because it’s always more convenient to have one gadget perform two functions than it is to own two separate gadgets to perform the exact same two functions. I didn’t think there was a market for this kind of convergence, but I’m guessing that there are some people that don’t like walking into walls in the middle of the night either.

Are you afraid of what goes bump in the night? Do you need to charge your iPod or iPhone on a nightly basis? The Scosche reviveLITE cordless charger effectively takes care of both of these concerns, because it functions as both a cordless iPod/iPhone charger and a nightlight.

No, this probably isn’t the most exciting product on your wish list this year, but it’s quite useful. It’ll work with any iPod or iPhone via the standard Apple dock connector and you don’t have to worry about any messy cables, because your Apple player will just dock directly into the charger. Next to the charger is a handy nightlight to keep the closet monsters at bay.

The frosted nightlight on the Scosche reviveLITE will automatically turn itself on in low light, but you can shut it off manually if you want to surround yourself in complete and utter darkness. The reviveLITE is available in both java black and arctic white, and it is now available through a number of specialty retailers for 40 bucks.
