It’s all about convergence these days, because it’s just not good enough to provide a single function anymore. Embracing the trend toward multi-functionality is the new Philips Luxe. On the surface, the Luxe looks like any other MP3 player, but this shiny wonder hides an extra feature.

Yes, it can play music files and the FM radio, but this MP3 player also comes with Bluetooth 2.1 functionality. You can pair the Philips Luxe with your cell phone and effectively use it as a Bluetooth headset. The music stops when a call comes in. There’s even a one-line LCD for caller ID purposes.

With 2GB of memory and proprietary FullSound technology for high-quality audio, the Philips Luxe will retail for $95 next month. Look for it in Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, India, China, and Southeast Asia.
