I don’t know how long this deal is going to last, but if you’re thinking about entering the subnotebook market, this is a sale that may interest you. Instead of busting out $500 or $600 for a higher-end Asus Eee PC, you can instead saving a few bucks by picking up the Acer Aspire One.

Buy.com has a promotion going on for the 8.9-inch netbook and they’re willing to sell you the little laptop for just $309.99. That’s a full hundred dollars cheaper that most comparably equipped netbooks. For that price, you get the Atom processor, 512MB of RAM, 8GB SSD, webcam, and Linpus Linux Lite OS.

Personally, I’d want a model with Windows and more RAM, but if you’re down with Linux and can make do with 512MB RAM, this is almost a steal!
