Sometimes, you just can’t decide. You like the idea of a slider phone, but you’re having a hard time picking between a vertical slider with a numeric keypad and a horizontal slider with a QWERTY keyboard. With AT&T’s new Pantech Matrix, you don’t have to choose anymore. You can have both.

Borrowing the styling cues from the ever popular Helio Ocean is the new Pantech Matrix from AT&T. The Ocean, if I recall correctly, is also a Pantech-sourced device, so this isn’t that much of a stretch. The dual-sliding cell phone makes it easy to both make phone calls and send text messages. Aside from the dual keypads, the Matrix also gets a 1.3 megapixel camera, microSD storage, quad-band GSM, dual-band UMTS, A-GPS, and AT&T Video Share support.

Choose from two color schemes — navy blue or black with green — and pick up the Pantech Matrix from AT&T for $79.99 with a two-year contract. A red version will also be made available.

i like this phone. unlike the LG Neon. the Neon doesn't let you text with the regular ABC keyboard, it makes you text with the "qwerty" everytime. it gets ANNOYING everytime you text you have to slide it up and slide it back down again and again and again etc. i like the matrix better, when youre only texting OK you can just use the ABC keyboard, but when you're typing a huge paragraph you can just use the qwerty. so i recommend, buy this phone. nott the NEON!
