This wasn’t really what I was expecting when they said that they were working on a touchscreen Asus Eee PC. My inclination was that they would develop something like a compact convertible Tablet PC, but that’s not what this device is. Instead, the touchscreen Eee PC that you see here is more like an all-in-one computer following the same philosophy as something like an iMac. You know, if the iMac was a touchscreen.

The all-in-one touchscreen Asus Eee PC even comes with a kickstand, so I imagine that it is meant for use in the kitchen and other secondary environments. Some of the more notable specs include the Intel Atom processor, 1GB RAM, 160GB HDD, integrated graphics, Windows XP Home, 1.3 megapixel webcam, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, and a surprisingly large 15.6″ touchscreen display. At over 15-inches, this is not the ultracompact Eee that you’ve come to know and love.
