Best Buy Expands Netbook Offerings with MSI Wind

The MSI Wind U100 netbook isn’t exactly a new addition to the subnotebook market, but it’s finally making its official debut at the big box store in the form of Best Buy. To my knowledge, you can already head into your local blue and white electronics depot to find the Acer Aspire One, but there’s another Taiwanese manufacturer knocking on the door as well.

The MSI Wind being sold by Best Buy is, not surprisingly, powered by the Intel Atom 1.6GHz processor, getting backed up by a 10-inch display, 1GB of RAM, Windows XP Home, and a 120GB hard drive. Prices start at $399 and the Wind can be had in your choice of black or white.

With the Wind and the Aspire One there, it won’t be long before Best Buy works its way into selling other netbooks like the Dell Mini 9, Asus Eee PC, and HP Mini-Note.
