We’re still waiting on Steve Jobs to introduce us to a new generation of MacBooks, but we may have just caught a sneak peek at the upcoming MacBook Mini. Could it be? Could Apple be finally entering the netbook and subnotebook market? Sadly, the answer is no.
What you see here is a cleverly modified version of the MSI Wind. The enthusiast decided to whip out a dremel, six white LEDs, a steady hand, and a little tape and aluminum foil to round out the artificial beast. German hacker Florian is the genius behind this creation. I guess he couldn’t wait for Cupertino to release something.
We can’t see the screen from this picture, but I’m assuming that he hasn’t converted this into a Hackintosh yet. I know people who have converted other (Windows) laptops into Mac OS X-running MacBooks, so it’s not that far-fetched. Will Apple have a real MacBook Mini (or MacBook nano) for us this fall? I guess we’ll have to wait to find out.
