Apple may have one of the skinniest portable audio players on the market, but iRiver’s got the appeal of Disney. We’ve already seen the Mickey Mouse MP3 player before, but the device has now been upgraded with something that will either amaze you or creep you out.

No, Mickey hasn’t suddenly come to life and he won’t start reciting his lines from Fantasia or Steamboat Willie, but he does gain a little bit of life in the form of glowing eyes. I find this inclusion to be a little strange because, as far as I can tell, the controls are still located on the bulbous ears. The glowing eyes are just for effect, I suppose.

In any case, the iRiver Mickey Mouse MP3 player still lacks a regular display, but it’s got 2GB of storage space and, um, glowing eyes. Yay?
