Palm is Shipping, Not Shipping Treo Pro Smartphones

We’re getting some conflicting reports on the matter and it doesn’t help that both sources of information come back to the horse’s mouth. The Palm Treo Pro is a quantum leap in the right direction in terms of physical aesthetics and specs, so everyone wants to know how well it will be able to stack up against the iPhones and Bolds of the world.

If you go over to Palm’s online store, you’ll notice that you can go ahead and add the Palm Treo Pro to your shopping cart, seeing how the item is listed with an arrival date of one to two business days. That’s the good news. The bad news is that if you surf over to other pages on the Palm website, the Treo Pro is still being described as only be available for pre-order.

So, which is it? Is the Treo Pro available now or isn’t it? I’d love for Palm to clarify the issue.
