In order to properly capture slow-motion video, you need a camera or camcorder that can shoot with an incredible framerate. There’s fast and then there’s Casio Exilim EX-FH20 fast. Following in the tradition of the Casio EX-F1 from March, this new digital camera boasts some pretty awesome framerates.

If you’re into shooting sports scenes and other fast-paced action, you’ll be glad to hear that the Casio Exilim EX-FH20 digital camera can capture stills at a thrilling 40 fps. That’s in burst mode, of course. If you prefer to record slow-motion video, this new Exilim will have you covered with “up to 1,000 fps” of video. I suggest shooting a pop can with a BB gun. That video on YouTube is pretty awesome.

Aside from the high framerates, the Casio Exilim EX-FH20 also boasts a 9.1 megapixel sensor, 20x optical zoom, anti-shake, night scene mode, and the ability to record 720p high-definition video. Expect this cam to drop next month for about $600.
