Next Wednesday could prove to a pretty special day for the people at Creative, because the company has a special event planned on September 17th that may see the unveiling of a hot new X-Fi product. A series of invitations have been sent out to members of the media, requesting their presence at a special event on that day.

The invitations don’t provide very much information, aside for a blacked out image and the tagline “I am heard everywhere.” This gives us the impression that the device may have some sort of “anywhere” connectivity, possibly pointing toward 3G or WiFi in some form. Given Creative’s history, this is probably a new multimedia-minded device and we see the X-Fi emblem as well.

We can’t say for sure, but this product announcement could have something to do with a Creative Internet tablet, don’t you think?
