Video: Subaru WRX STi vs. Mitsubishi Evo X FQ-300

These two rally-inspired cars have been battling it out for AWD supremacy for many years, so it’s only fitting that we find the latest generation Subaru WRX STi on the test track challenging the Mitsubishi Evo FQ-300. On paper, just as with nearly every previous generation, the two cars could be quite evenly matched.

In the video below, you can watch as Jason Plato and Tiff Needell of Fifth Gear put these AWD beasts to the test. For the first segment, they attack the cones in a slalom course, zipping between them, pulling the e-brake for a quick turn-around, and then punching through the cones on the way back. In the second segment, the two cars go for a speedy spin around the track.

Who is the winner in this generation of rally-inspired road racers? It is the Subaru Impreza WRX STi or the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X? Watch and find out.
