So, I was poking around on the Fido website, seeing if the dog had anything new to offer me in terms of handsets or plans, when I encountered a very strange anomaly on one of their recent plan offerings.

The idea behind Full Fido is that you can gain access to a huge smattering of minutes and all sorts of options at a not-so-inflated price. That’s all well and good, but when you scroll a little further down the page, you’ll find that the $80 Email Full Fido plan comes with a System Access Fee of “1,000″. The monthly 911 emergency access fee is also “1,000″.

I know. I know. It’s just a typo, but giving the impression that the SAF and 911 fees are $1,000 each is somewhat indicative of wireless charges in Canada, don’t you think?
