What is the deal with that? The stand-up comedian best known for the sitcom that bore his name in the 90s is said to be the new face of Windows Vista, countering the “Hi, I’m a Mac. And I’m a PC” ads that have been pushed out by Apple and Steve Jobs.

Microsoft is apparently as desperate as ever to get people to adopt Windows Vista, so they’ve hired the comedic genius of Mr. Seinfeld. This is because so many people, myself included, have refused to leave Windows XP behind in favor of Microsoft’s “new” operating system.

Jerry Seinfeld is just one part of Microsoft’s upcoming $300 million Vista ad campaign. Along the way, we may also see Chris Rock and Will Ferrell push the Vista envelope on us. The new ads are scheduled to go live on September 4.
