Video: Real World iPhone 3G Can’t Keep Up with TV Land

What? Television commercials aren’t 100% accurate? You mean I won’t get charged by hundreds of beautiful women when I make use of the AXE body spray? No, that can’t be right.

As it turns out, the ads for the iPhone 3G are over-estimating the capabilities of Apple’s second cell phone. In the commercials, you can watch as the touchscreen phone loads up webpages in no time flat. In the real world, however, things aren’t quite as snappy. Naturally, your mileage will vary.

To get a sense of exactly how far off these ads are, a YouTube users has put together a video that compares advertising land with the real world. The results are pretty much what you’d expect.
