The subnotebook market is certainly heating up. While everyone else seems to be doing the Intel Atom thing, Raon Digital has taken a slightly different approach for its EVERUN NOTE. You see, this little laptop doesn’t do Atom. Instead, it is powered by a 1.2GHz AMD Turion 64×2 Dual-Core processor.

I could be wrong, but I think that makes the Raon Digital EVERUN NOTE the first subnotebook to do the dual-core thing. However, it won’t be long before there’s a dual core Atom, so Raon Digital better take advantage of the situation sooner rather than later.

Despite its name, the EVERUN NOTE doesn’t run forever. Battery life tops out at about 2.5 hours. And as you can see, it’s running on Windows XP. Look for the netbook to hit the market in early September.
