Bringing Freedom to Beijing, One USB Drive at a Time

Everyone knows about the Great Wall of China and most tech geeks would be aware of the Great Firewall of China. While within those Chinese borders, your web surfing experience may be a little limited. How can you still check your email and read less than China-friendly websites?

By far the easiest way to get around the Great Firewall of China is to invest in something like the Freedom Stick. This USB dongle comes preloaded “with all the traffic routing software you’ll need to browse the internet unencumbered.” With the drive plugged in, you can surf the ‘net to your heart’s content. It could be the best $30 you’ve ever spent.

Unfortunately, the Freedom Stick won’t be able to help you when you blurt out something in the cab ride back to your heavily monitored hotel.
