You know how you’re supposed to be completely aware of your surroundings when you are driving? You should not only be keeping your eyes on the road in front of you, but also checking your mirrors from time to time so that you know what’s happening beside and behind you.

It is following this kind of “awareness” thinking that the DS400GB SmartMirror was created. It’s basically a GPS system that has been mounted in place of your conventional rear-view mirror. When you glance up to see the tailgater behind you, you will also see your turn-by-turn directions via the funky “reality view.”

Key features include rear-facing cam input, Navigon Mobile Navigator 6.5, a 4-inch touchscreen, integrated speakers, Bluetooth, and SD card slot. Look for it for $799 on August 1st.
