We’ve been hearing a lot about the BlackBerry Bold these past few months, especially surrounding details of its proposed launch date. CrackBerry fans can now let out a collective sigh of relief, because the BlackBerry Bold has survived the approval process at the almighty FCC. That testing process is pretty stringent.

Our first glimpse at the BlackBerry Bold came way back in October of last year, so it’s been a long ride for the beautiful QWERTY-packing business phone. Now that the Bold has made its way through the approval process, an official launch next month sounds about right.

As you recall, the BlackBerry Bold 9000 gets quad-band GSM, tri-band UMTS/HSDPA, Wi-Fi, 480×320 pixel display, a brand new user interface, and 1500 mAh battery. AT&T should be getting it in mid-August and I suspect that Rogers will be doing it around the same time too.
